One of Jericho’s few remaining pubs, ‘The Bookies’ manages to hold on to the charm and quirkiness of public houses from yesteryear.
Re-opening its doors in 2011, the Crafty Belle family manage to perfectly merge the service of wonderfully crafted, British real-ale, with quality, French Bistro inspired food. Resulting in a place where anyone can come and feel comfortable.
We aim to provide a relaxed, casual atmosphere for the whole community to enjoy. We are dog, child and student friendly (as long as they’re well behaved) so bring the whole family and come say “hello!” to the wonderful team & Jericho’s favourite residents.

Our menu is somewhat limited, as we believe in the quality of dishes over the quantity, but it changes regularly so you won’t have to worry about being stuck with the same old dishes month in, month out. We serve food every day, keeping it simple in style and honest in price.
FOOD SERVICE: Mon – Sat: 12pm – 2pm & 5.30pm – 9pm, Sun: 12pm – 7pm
Our current menus can be found here. We have two sumptuous set menus that run all day, alongside our famous burgers, crepes and steaks, which will be joined by daily specials. We change our menus so expect new flavours and dishes regularly. But rest assures that our food will always be reminiscent of classic French bistro fare.
DRINKS.
We are a pub. We provide you with 6 hand-pumps of wonderful ale. For those of you who know what they like we keep three pumps aside for our House Ales which will remain the same throughout the year. The other three we keep an ever changing list of Guest Ales for the customer who likes to try new things. These change regularly so don’t expect to see the same ale on two consecutive visits! For those that like their alcohol a little colder we, of course, stock four wonderful lagers alongside our cider and Guinness.
We have a wide range of wines and spirits, and a large selection of bottled soft drinks to accompany the usual post-mix drinks. Whatever you fancy, you’ll be sure to find something that’ll tickle your taste-buds.
We have an ever growing range of whiskies, gins, vodkas and rums. Ask for a list at the bar.
